Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the ApuaLegal platform (product name: Arsenal), operated by APUA AI Private Limited. This policy is part of our Terms of Service and applies to all users of the platform.

By using ApuaLegal, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.

1. Prohibited Uses

You may not use ApuaLegal for any of the following purposes:

1.1 Illegal Activity

• Any activity that violates applicable Indian law or the laws of any other applicable jurisdiction.
• Facilitating, promoting, or assisting in any criminal activity.
• Money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions evasion.
• Creating fraudulent legal documents or filings.
• Impersonating a legal professional or misrepresenting your credentials.

1.2 Harassment and Harmful Content

• Harassing, threatening, or intimidating any individual.
• Generating or distributing content that is defamatory, obscene, or hateful.
• Using AI features to generate misleading content intended to deceive courts, tribunals, or other legal authorities.
• Stalking or any form of targeted abuse against individuals.

1.3 Technical Abuse

• Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the ApuaLegal platform.
• Scraping, crawling, or using automated tools to extract data from the platform.
• Uploading malware, viruses, trojans, or any malicious software.
• Attempting to bypass security measures, authentication systems, or access controls.
• Overloading or disrupting the platform's servers, networks, or infrastructure.
• Exploiting vulnerabilities in the platform for unauthorised access.

2. Fair Use of AI Features

ApuaLegal provides AI-powered features for legal research, drafting, and analysis. To ensure fair access for all users:

2.1 Rate Limits

• AI features are subject to reasonable rate limits based on your subscription plan.
• Excessive automated or programmatic use of AI features beyond normal professional usage is prohibited.
• We reserve the right to throttle or temporarily restrict access if usage patterns indicate abuse.

2.2 Responsible AI Use

• AI-generated outputs are tools to assist your professional judgment, not replace it.
• You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before use.
• Do not submit AI-generated content to courts or authorities without independent review and verification.
• Do not use AI features to generate content that misrepresents its source (e.g., presenting AI-generated work as entirely human-authored without review).

3. Account Sharing Restrictions

ApuaLegal accounts are for individual use:

• Each subscription is licensed to a single individual user.
• Sharing your login credentials with others is strictly prohibited.
• You may not allow multiple individuals to access the platform through a single account.
• For team or firm access, you must subscribe to a team plan with individual credentials for each member.
• We monitor for unusual login patterns and may suspend accounts that appear to be shared.

4. Content Ownership and Responsibilities

4.1 Your Content

• You retain full ownership of all content you create, upload, or store on ApuaLegal.
• You are solely responsible for ensuring that your content does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.
• You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of your important content.

4.2 Prohibited Content

You may not upload or store the following types of content on ApuaLegal:

• Content that infringes on third-party copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
• Content that contains personal data of third parties without their consent, beyond what is necessary for legitimate legal purposes.
• Malicious files or executables.
• Content that violates any applicable law.

4.3 Platform Content

The ApuaLegal platform, its design, features, AI models, and documentation are the intellectual property of APUA AI Private Limited. You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the platform.
• Use our branding, logos, or trademarks without written permission.
• Create derivative works based on the platform.

5. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it to:

We investigate all reports and take appropriate action, which may include warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent termination of the violating account.

6. Enforcement

APUA AI reserves the right to:

• Investigate suspected violations of this AUP.
• Remove or disable access to content that violates this policy.
• Suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation.
• Report violations to law enforcement authorities when required by law or when we believe it is necessary to protect the safety of individuals.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform.
