Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ApuaLegal platform (product name: Arsenal), provided by APUA AI Private Limited ("APUA AI", "we", "us", or "our"), a company incorporated in India. By accessing or using ApuaLegal, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using ApuaLegal, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.
If you are using ApuaLegal on behalf of a law firm or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
ApuaLegal is a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform that provides AI-powered tools for Indian legal professionals, including:
- Legal research and case law analysis
- Document drafting and review
- Case management and organisation
- AI-assisted legal reasoning and summarisation
ApuaLegal is a tool to assist legal professionals. It does not provide legal advice and is not a substitute for professional legal judgment. All AI-generated outputs should be independently verified before use in any legal proceeding.
3. Account Registration
To use ApuaLegal, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access
- Ensuring your Bar Council enrolment details (if provided) are accurate
4. Subscription and Payment
ApuaLegal is offered on a subscription basis with monthly and annual plans. By subscribing, you agree to the following:
- Subscription fees are charged in advance for the billing period selected.
- All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable GST.
- Payments are processed securely through Razorpay.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' prior notice.

5. User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use
You agree to use ApuaLegal only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You shall not:
- Use the platform for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful activity
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform
- Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the platform by automated means
- Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple users to access a single account
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or any harmful content
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform's infrastructure
- Use AI features to generate content that is misleading, defamatory, or designed to deceive courts

6. Intellectual Property Rights
6.1 Your Content
You retain full ownership of all content you create, upload, or store on ApuaLegal, including documents, case files, and research notes. We do not claim any ownership rights over your content.
6.2 Our Platform
The ApuaLegal platform, including its software, design, features, AI models, branding, logos, and documentation, is the exclusive intellectual property of APUA AI Private Limited. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the platform for the duration of your subscription.
6.3 AI-Generated Content
Content generated by AI features on ApuaLegal is provided as a tool output for your use. You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and assuming ownership of any AI-generated content you choose to use.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- ApuaLegal is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- We do not warrant that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or suitable for any legal proceeding.
- APUA AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from your use of ApuaLegal shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not liable for any actions taken based on AI-generated outputs. Professional legal judgment remains your responsibility.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless APUA AI Private Limited, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement:
- By you: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in prohibited activity, or fail to pay subscription fees.
Upon termination, you may export your data within 30 days. After 30 days, we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect, via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or your use of ApuaLegal shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Delhi, India.
12. Dispute Resolution
Before initiating any legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation for a period of 30 days. If the dispute remains unresolved, it shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with the seat of arbitration in Delhi.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and APUA AI Private Limited regarding your use of ApuaLegal.
