This Refund Policy outlines the terms for cancellations and refunds for ApuaLegal (product name: Arsenal) subscriptions, operated by APUA AI Private Limited.
1. Free Trial
ApuaLegal offers a free trial period for new users. During the free trial:
- No payment information is required to start the trial.
- No charges will be applied during the trial period.
- You may cancel at any time during the trial without any charge or obligation.
- At the end of the trial, you may choose to subscribe to a paid plan or your access to premium features will be restricted.
2. Monthly Subscriptions
For monthly subscription plans:
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
- Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
- No refunds are provided for partial months. You will continue to have access to all features until the end of your current billing cycle.
- No cancellation fees apply.
3. Annual Subscriptions
For annual subscription plans:
- If you cancel within 30 days of purchase or renewal, you are eligible for a pro-rata refund for the remaining unused months.
- After 30 days, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current annual billing period, and no refund is provided.
- The pro-rata refund is calculated based on the number of full months remaining in the annual subscription, less any discounts applied for annual billing.

5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund for an eligible annual subscription:
- Email us at grievance@apua.ai with the subject line "Refund Request".
- Include your registered email address, subscription plan, and date of purchase.
- We will review your request and respond within 3 business days.
6. Payment Processing
All payments are processed through Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. Refund details:
- Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days.
- Refunds are credited back to the original payment method (bank account, credit card, debit card, or UPI).
- The actual time for the refund to appear in your account may vary depending on your bank or card issuer.
- Razorpay processing fees are non-refundable.
7. Exceptional Circumstances
We may consider refunds outside the standard policy in the following cases:
- Service outage: If ApuaLegal experiences extended downtime (more than 72 consecutive hours) due to issues on our end.
- Billing errors: If you were charged incorrectly or billed after cancellation.
- Duplicate payments: If a payment was processed more than once in error.

8. Plan Changes
If you upgrade or downgrade your subscription plan:
- Upgrades: The price difference is prorated and charged immediately. You get immediate access to the upgraded plan.
- Downgrades: The change takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle. No refund is provided for the current period.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via email.
